About the Red Panda
The red panda (Ailurus fulgens) is a small arboreal mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It is known for its reddish-brown coat, white facial markings, rounded ears, and long ringed tail.
Red pandas spend much of their time in trees and are well adapted to life in forest canopies. Their flexible movement, distinctive facial markings, and expressive appearance make them a fascinating part of Asian mountain forest ecosystems.
Design Inspiration
The natural, earthy tones of forest environments inspired this soft tan version. We focused on the red panda's rounded cheeks, small ears, bright eyes, and characteristic facial markings, recreating these recognizable features through layered acetate.
The warm tan palette gives the design a softer, understated appearance while preserving the realistic character that inspired the collection. It is a playful interpretation of the red panda that brings a touch of woodland charm to everyday hairstyles.
